9 Features Hyundai Venue Gets Over Toyota Urban Cruiser

9 Features Hyundai Venue Gets But Toyota Urban Cruiser Doesn’t | V3Cars

The Hyundai Venue is one of the best-selling B2-segment SUVs in the country. Ever since its launch, the Venue has gained the tag of the most feature-rich sub-compact SUV in the country. While Maruti Suzuki have launched the new-gen Brezza, Toyota’s Urban Cruiser is based on the previous-gen Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. However, this has allowed Toyota to offer the Urban Cruiser at a competitive price.

Features Hyundai Venue Gets Over Toyota Urban Cruiser

In this article, we share the list of features that you get in the Hyundai Venue over the Toyota Urban Cruiser.

1. Curtain Airbags

While both the Venue and Urban Cruiser get front airbags, the Venue offers side thorax and curtain airbags in its top variant. It is worth noting that the Global NCAP awarded the Urban Cruiser a 4-star rating while they are yet to test the Venue.

2. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

The top variants of the Hyundai Venue come with a tyre pressure monitoring system. It tells the real-time pressure for each tyre and also alerts the driver in case of an underinflated tyre or a puncture. This feature is sorely missed in the Urban Cruiser and we think every new car in this segment should have this safety feature.

3. Rear Disc Brakes

While the standard Venue comes with drum brakes at the rear, the Venue N Line offers rear disc brakes that offer better stopping power and feedback. The Urban Cruiser, on the other hand, comes with drum brakes at the rear on all variants.

4. Rear AC Vents

The new Venue offers rear AC vents which channel cool air to 2nd-row passengers. They increase the effectiveness of the AC in the summer and help cool the cabin quickly. The Urban Cruiser doesn’t offer rear AC vents.

5. Wireless Phone Charger

The Venue comes with a wireless phone charger whereas the Urban Cruiser only gets a  USB Type-A socket for charging your phone. It is worth mentioning that the mid variants of the Venue offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, making the experience even more enjoyable.

6. Power-Adjustable Driver Seat

The driver seat in the new Venue now offers electric adjustment for fore and aft and backrest angle. It is worth mentioning that adjusting the height requires manual effort.

7. Sunroof

The Venue, like most other B2-segment SUVs, offers an electric sunroof. This is sorely missed in the Urban Cruiser.

8. Reclining Rear Seat

The rear seatback in the new Venue offers a  2-step recline. Reclining seats are a useful feature as they let 2nd row passengers relax during  long road trips.

9. Shark-fin Antenna

The Venue comes with a shark fin antenna, which not only offers better looks but also better reception and durability. The Urban Cruiser, on the other hand, comes with a regular antenna.
