6 Features Tata Nexon Lacks Over Kia Sonet | V3Cars

The Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling B2-segment SUVs in the country. It is closely followed by the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sonet. Kia recently launched the MY2022 Sonet with new features and better safety.

Features Missing In Tata Nexon Over Kia Sonet

In this article, we tell you 6 features that are missing in the Tata Nexon but available with Kia Sonet.

1. Subwoofer

Kia offer the Sonet with a 7-speaker Bose sound system. It gets 4 speakers, 2 tweeters and 1 subwoofer. The Nexon, meanwhile, comes with an 8-speaker sound system with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters but lacks a subwoofer.

2. LED Headlights

The Kia Sonet comes with reflector-based LED headlights whereas the Nexon comes with projector-based halogen headlights. LED headlights generally offer a better light spread out on the road and also gives a premium appeal to the car. However, they do not perform as good as halogens in foggy conditions.

3. Traction Control Modes

Kia offer the Sonet sub-compact SUV with multiple drive and traction modes. While the Nexon also offers drive modes, traction modes remain exclusive to the Sonet. You can toggle through snow, mud and sand traction modes with the button placed on the centre console in the Sonet.

4. Remote Engine Start

You can start the engine in the Kia Sonet from the key itself. The Sonet’s key has a dedicated button for remote engine start that can be used to pre-cool the cabin before even getting inside the car.

5. Paddle Shifters

Both the Nexon and Sonet come with petrol- and diesel-automatic options. However, it’s the Sonet that offers paddle shifters. It is worth adding that the dual-clutch transmission in the Sonet is snappier than the automated manual transmission of the Nexon.

6. Ambient Lighting

Lastly, the Sonet elevates the cabin experience with ambient lighting. It uses lighting in the speaker grilles that change the colours as per the music, hence offering a soothing experience during long night drives.
