5 Features Kia Sonet Lacks Over Tata Nexon | V3Cars

The Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling B2-segment SUVs in the country. It is closely followed by the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sonet. Kia recently launched the MY2022 Sonet with new features and better safety.

Features Missing In Kia Sonet Over Tata Nexon

In this article, we tell you 5 features that are missing in the Kia Sonet but available with the Tata Nexon.

1. Height Adjustable Seat Belts

The Tata Nexon comes with height adjustable seatbelts as opposed to the Sonet’s fixed seat belts. Height adjustable seat belts come in handy when you are seating your child on the front seat. You can adjust the belt height as per their safety requirements and seating preferences.

2. Cornering Lamps

Tata offer the Nexon with cornering lamps that come in handy while manoeuvring in the night or driving in tight spaces. The cornering lamps in the Nexon are integrated into the fog lamps and they light up the side as you turn the steering wheel left or right.

3.Rain-sensing Wipers

The Nexon offers both automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, whereas the  Sonet only offers automatic headlights. Rain-sensing wipers turn on and off automatically and also adjust the wiper speed depending on the intensity of rain.

4. Cooled Glovebox

Tata Nexon offers a cooled glovebox that keeps your drinks or medicines cool. Although the intensity of the cooling in a cooled glovebox isn’t enough to make your drinks ice cold, it does help maintain a cool temperature.

5. 60:40 Rear Seat Split

The rear seats in the Nexon can be split 60:40. This comes in handy when you want to load a long object into your boot, while still keeping space for one or two passengers. The Kia Sonet, on the other hand, gets a flat folding rear bench that limits practicality in such cases.
