For this Rs. 35,000 - 50,000 premium, you’ll get an electric sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start/stop and electronic parking brake with the automatic transmission. Although you can count the extra features on one hand’s fingertips, the price gap is also small. Especially the sunroof is a big-ticket item, which alone justifies the price jump.

Conclusion - Should You Buy The New MG Hector Shine Variant?
With the petrol automatic, the Shine is a good purchase as you no longer need to stretch your budget by Rs. 1.3 lakh for the Smart variant.
Petrol manual buyers should be glad to know that the Shine more than justifies the upgrade from the Super as the price gap of Rs. 35,000 is small. Similarly, even with a slightly higher price gap of Rs. 50,000, the Hector Shine is worth the upgrade from the Super diesel-manual.
