The pros or advantages of Maruti Suzuki Dzire petrol are:

The Maruti Dzire’s ZXI Plus top model costs Rs. 8.84 lakh with the petrol-manual and Rs. 9.39 lakh with the petrol-automatic. This variant is Rs. 71,500 more expensive than the lower ZXI variant and is not available with the CNG bi-fuel option.

This variant gets the following notable additional features over the ZXI trim:

The top spec ZXI Plus variant reserves a good number of good-to-have features for itself. The base LXI variant is too basic to offer a decent ownership experience. So, we’ll suggest Dzire buyers to compromise a bit on value and buy at least the VXI variant, which offers a good number of must-have features. If you have a bigger budget, then the ZXI is our top recommendation. It offers a lot of must-have features with a few good-to-have features while offering a better value for money than the lower VXI variant. The ZXI Plus variant also offers good value for money but it mostly adds good-to-have features. So, you can consider buying it if you want those features. This recommendation is valid for Dzire petrol-manual as well as petrol-automatic buyers.

Similarly, for CNG-manual buyers, we’re lucky that Maruti Suzuki offer the bi-fuel option in two of the most well-loaded and value variants, which have a balanced feature set. Here, again, the VXI is suitable for budget buyers but if you can stretch your budget, then ZXI is a better choice and our top recommendation.

What Are The Engine Specifications Of The Maruti Suzuki Dzire Petrol?

Just like its rival B2-segment sedans, the Dzire also has a 1.2L petrol engine but among non-turbo petrol engine sedans, it has a unique combination of best-in-class power with acceptable torque output at mid-RPMs. The Amaze also has 90PS of power output but it has a lower 110Nm torque, which also peaks 400rpm higher than Dzire’s engine. Therefore, the Dzire, will offer good drivability with higher peak power output closer to the redline. The Tigor also stands out in terms of drivability as its 113Nm torque peaks at a lower 3300rpm.

One area where the Dzire has a clean lead over its rivals is in terms of mileage figures. The Dzire’s claimed fuel 22.41kmpl with the manual and 22.61kmpl are significantly ahead of its rivals, which only go as high as 20.50kmpl.

Among CNG bi-fuel B2-segment sedans also, the Dzire has the best-in-class mileage figure of 31.12kmpkg. Considering the May 2023 fuel prices in Delhi and the official mileage figures, you can expect to recover the higher upfront cost of the CNG kit in about 50,000km.
