The facelift introduces a redesigned front grille, updated skid plates, and revised headlamps and alloy wheels. The base-spec Thai Fortuner received enhancements like a wireless phone charger, 360-degree parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), blind spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Simultaneously, the Legender variant incorporated new features such as a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.
Finally, the Fortuner GR Sport variant saw a power boost with a more potent 2.8L turbo diesel engine, generating 224PS of power and 550Nm of torque. This marks a 20PS and 50Nm increase compared to the Legender. Anticipated to arrive in India by mid-2024, the 2024 Fortuner promises significant updates.
12. MG Astor And ZS EV Facelifts
Introduced in 2021 as a competitor to the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the C-SUV segment, the MG Astor is now due for a facelift. With the Seltos and Creta having already received their facelifts, the Astor is poised for a design refresh. Leaked patent images hint at possible alterations, including new headlamps, an enlarged grille, and visually enhanced air dams at the front. While the side profile might maintain its current form, updated alloy wheel designs are expected, and the rear could showcase refreshed tail lamps.
The Astor facelift is likely to retain its existing 1.3-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre normal petrol engines. As for the ZS EV facelift, having been launched in 2022, a facelift might not be imminent in India. However, MG may align the ZS EV facelift with the Astor's design, featuring an EV-specific grille, around late 2024 or early 2025.

14. Skoda Enyaq iV
Skoda could venture into the Indian EV market in 2024 with the launch of the Enyaq iV electric SUV in the latter half of the year. The Enyaq EV is expected to reach India through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. Globally, it offers 3 battery pack options – 52kWh, 58kWh, and 77kWh. Skoda's electric crossover is available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, claiming a range of up to 510km per charge.

Volkswagen, too, could be contemplating an entry into the EV segment with the introduction of the ID.4 electric crossover in India. Sitting on VW’s MEB platform, shared with vehicles like the Skoda Enyaq iV, the ID.4 could come with a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive to compete against the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. The ID.4, equipped with all-wheel drive, boasts a 77kWh battery pack. Its twin electric motors deliver 265PS of power, providing a WLTP-certified range of 517km on a single charge. 16. Volkswagen Taigun Facelift
Volkswagen introduced the Taigun C-segment SUV in India in 2021. In 2023, the company unveiled the new T-Cross SUV, closely related to the Taigun, for global markets. Given the intensifying competition in the C-SUV segment, Volkswagen could consider a mild facelift for the Taigun, drawing inspiration from the new design of the T-Cross. Although engine and transmission options are likely to remain the same as the current model, the Taigun facelift could incorporate additional features, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), to compete with the recently-launched Hyundai Creta facelift.
