2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Spotted On Test With Connected Tail Lights | V3Cars
Tata’s best-selling SUV, the Nexon, is all set to receive a major update. The new Nexon update promises a futuristic design and an updated list of features. The latest spy shots of the Nexon facelift reveals a few more details of the list of changes. Let’s take a look:
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Spotted With Connected LED Taillights
A new set of spy shots of the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift reveal its new connected LED tail lights. The LED taillights themselves get a V-shaped lighting pattern and are connected together by a strip of red LED light. While the test car was wrapped in camouflage, the spy shots were shot at night, revealing the taillight’s design in action. The design of the taillights is in line with that of the Curvv concept and Harrier EV concept.

Speaking of other changes, the spy shots also reveal the front split LED headlight setup. The test car can be seen with sleek LED DRLs sitting atop the bumper while the main LED headlight units sit lower on the bumper. Unlike the outgoing Nexon that uses halogen projectors, the new Nexon will likely to offer a bi-xenon LED headlight setup, which should offer better visibility and an upmarket feel.
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift — Interior And Features
On the inside, the Nexon facelift could offer a revamped dashboard design with better quality materials and features. The centre of the dashboard is likely to host Tata’s new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also boast Tata’s new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Other features of the Nexon facelift could include a wireless phone charger, full-colour LCD instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, multi-drive modes and paddle shifters.

2023 Tata Nexon Facelift — Powertrain Details
The new 2023 Nexon facelift could mark the debut of Tata’s new 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine. The top petrol variants of the Nexon could offer 125PS of power and 225Nm of torque output. Tata are likely to offer this engine with 2 transmission options — a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Furthermore, Tata are likely to retain the current 1.5L turbo diesel engine that produces 110PS of power and 260Nm of torque. The diesel engine is likely to retain the current 6-speed manual and 6-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift — Launch Details And Rivals
Since the Nexon is currently one of the oldest SUVs in the B2-segment space, Tata Motors could launch the Nexon facelift as early as August this year. We expect Tata to reveal the SUV in July and also commence its bookings the same month. The new Nexon is likely to be Tata’s prime offering for the upcoming festive season. It will rival the recently updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Hyundai Venue facelift. Its other segment rivals include the Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
