Upcoming Tata EVs To Take Design Cues From Curvv Concept | V3Cars
Tata Motors recently took wraps off the Curvv concept EV. It has a very niche coupe SUV body style. While in itself, the design of the concept is very radical, it has some cues which future EVs from Tata Motors will get.
Tata Motors are calling the design language of the Curvv ‘Digital Design’. This makes the car look modern and sharp with very minimalistic body work. The side of the car has only a shoulder line and wheel arches, everything else is clean. We will see this kind of bodywork in future Tata EVs.

The Curvv gets a strip of LED light across its width which acts as a DRL. Tata Motors announced that this feature will be EV specific. They said that this full-width LED DRL with animated sequence will become a signature element of Tata EVs.
The front bumper of the Curvv has sharp-looking horizontal and vertical lines. A similar treatment can be found on the rear of the car as well. This is another design element specific to Tata EVs which we will see in upcoming models.

The new steering wheel we can see inside the car is a preview of the production-spec steering wheel. Hence, it will be reminiscent of the concept’s steering wheel. It is a 2-spoke flat bottom steering wheel with touch controls. The Tata logo in the centre lights up when the car is turned on. The controls for AC are touch-based too. Future EVs from Tata Motors will sport a similar interface.
Although Tata Motors haven’t announced any launch timeline for the Concept Curvv yet, the carmaker aims to launch the SUV within the next two years. Hence, we can expect the Concept Curvv to hit production by 2024, followed by the launch of several variants with internal combustion engines.
