MGverse Is MG Motor’s Metaverse Platform Launching This Festive Season

MG Motor Launch MGverse – A Metaverse Platform | V3Cars

MG Motor are set to enter the Metaverse with their own platform, the MGverse. MGverse will act as a platform that combines multiple virtual spaces into a single platform. With this, the brand aims to bring MG fans, customers, partners, and employees together to work, play, engage, collaborate, co-create, socialise and shop.

MGverse

MG is the first brand in India and one of the first in the industry to create a Metaverse platform. As Metaverse is a very new technology, MG aim to connect Gen Z and Gen Alpha with the MGverse. Simply put, Metaverse is a virtual universe where users can live via technology around us, such as AR (augmented reality), VR (virtual reality), AI (artificial intelligence), social media and digital currency.

MG will provide five different experience centres for customers to explore in the MGverse:

1. Explore and Creator’s centre

This will enable the users to personalise, accessorise and build an MG vehicle in the Metaverse. It will also allow customers to take a virtual test drive in the cities and streets of their preference and even book a car in the Metaverse itself.

2. NFT Gallery

This will allow users to witness MG’s collections of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on display and enable them to collaborate & co-create, list, and transact NFTs on the platform, Additionally, it will also give an opportunity to individuals and creators to create their own NFT and earn.

3. MG Car Club

The members of MGCC (MG Car Club) will get an avenue to connect and engage together through members-only events and concerts. They will also have an option to buy MG merchandise from MGverse.

4. Gaming Arena

In case you are unaware, MG were initially a racecar maker in the 20th century. The users in the gaming arena of the MGverse will get a chance to experience MG's racing history. One can choose their favourite racetrack to race in an MG sports car or play other games.

5. MG Knowledge Centre

The MG knowledge centre will provide opportunities to MG’s employees and partners for upskilling and attending virtual training sessions, conferences, meetings, etc.

With MGverse, we will build upon our virtual customer experience content to familiarise the future generation with innovative brand experiences.”

MG will roll out the MGverse in phases, with the first phase launching this festive season. This platform will be accessible on mobile phones and other web browsers. MG aim to bring it to VR headsets as well.
