2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Could Offer Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) Suspensions | V3Cars

Mahindra are going to reveal the specs and prices of the 2022 Scorpio N on June 27. A new report suggests that the new Scorpio N could offer frequency selective dampers (FSD) for better comfort and agility. Mahindra already offer FSDs with the new XUV700 and the same is likely with the new Scorpio N.

The new Mahindra Scorpio N is likely to get the second-generation Koni frequency selective dampers. If we explain the FSD in short, they have an added mechanical valve which alters the oil pressure to increase or decrease the damping force, based on the frequency of force. The advantage of FSDs is that they offer a compliant ride over broken roads without compromising on the handling of the vehicle.

On the features front, the 2022 Scorpio N could offer the following features:

Premium Sony sound system
LED fog lights with DRLs
LED Projector headlights
6 airbags
Dual-zone auto AC
Leather upholstery
Electronic stability program
Tilt & telescopic steering
Keyless entry with push-button start/stop
Cruise control
Sunroof

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will share its engine options with the XUV700. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine could offer 175PS of power and 370Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual and 400Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission. The lower trims of the Scorpio N diesel may offer a lower power output of 130PS.

Speaking of the 2.0L turbo petrol engine, the new leaks suggest that it will offer the output as in the XUV700. The petrol engine in the Scorpio N could offer 200PS of power and 380Nm of torque. We expect Mahindra to offer a 4-wheel-drive option with the turbo petrol engine as well.
