The Hector petrol CVT is priced at par with DCT variants of the SUV which are priced at a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over the corresponding manual variants. Like the DCT, the CVT is also being offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine only. It makes 143PS of power and 250Nm of peak torque. This engine is offered with 48V mild-hybrid system as well but it is exclusively available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Hector and Hector Plus are available with a diesel engine as well. It is a 2.0-litre unit that makes 170PS and 350Nm paired to a 6-speed MT.
The feature list on the Hector CVT has remained unchanged. It gets auto LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, auto AC, panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, cruise control, ambient lighting, wireless charging, powered tailgate and a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and connected car tech.
Safety features on offer include up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, hill launch assist, traction control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, heated ORVMs and a 360-degree camera.
The Hector takes on likes of the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. The Hector Plus, on the other hand, competes with the upcoming SUVs like the Tata Safari, second-gen XUV500 and the 7-seater Hyundai Creta.
