Mahindra Have No Plans To Discontinue Marazzo

Mahindra: No Plans To Discontinue Marazzo | V3Cars

At their earnings call meeting, Mahindra revealed that they do not plan to discontinue the Marazzo MPV anytime soon. Currently, the Mahindra Marazzo production numbers are low as the carmaker wants to fulfil pending orders of the Thar, Scorpio N and XUV700.

Mahindra launched the Marazzo back in 2018 but it never achieved the heights Mahindra anticipated. While it was a very innovative offering in its own right, tough competition from the Ertiga and Innova Crysta from both the ends meant it was a rough road for the Marazzo. Needless to say, Mahindra also didn’t make use of the MPVs full potential as it still lacks a petrol engine and a diesel-automatic option.

Despite all that, Mahindra still believe in the Marazzo and will continue to produce it for the foreseeable future. We can expect the launch of the Marazzo petrol and diesel automatic options in the near future.

The new Scorpio N garnered huge interest in the market, with over 1,00,000 bookings recorded within 30 minutes of its launch. That’s a big feat to achieve and not even Mahindra expected such a huge response. Currently, Mahindra are finding ways to increase the production of the Scorpio N, without affecting the output of the XUV700 or the Thar.
