BYD To Launch Atto 3 Electric SUV In India This Festive Season | V3Cars

BYD currently offer the E6 electric family mover in India. The Chinese carmaker recently opened orders for private buyers as the E6 was earlier only available to fleet operators. With the Atto 3, BYD plan to expand their reach to private buyers. BYD Atto 3 is a C-segment electric SUV and offers a claimed range of over 400km.

The BYD Atto 3 is the longest and widest SUV among its rivals. In addition to that, the Atto 3 also offers the longest wheelbase of 2720mm in the segment. Speaking about its battery pack, it comes with 2 options — 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh. The combined WLTP-certified range stands at 345km and 420km, respectively.

The BYD Atto 3 comes with a front mounted electric motor that produces 203PS of power and 310Nm of torque. It does the 0-100kmph sprint in a claimed 7.3 seconds, which makes it faster than its rivals. On the features front, the BYD Atto 3 offers a panoramic sunroof, 7 airbags, rotatable screen, power-adjustable driver and co-passenger seats, digital instrument cluster and ADAS.

As we stated earlier, BYD will launch the Atto 3 electric SUV around this festive season. The company plans to locally assemble the Atto 3 electric SUV at their manufacturing facility in Chennai. BYD are likely to showcase their full range of passenger electric vehicles at the 2023 Auto Expo.
