Hyundai Alcazar Previewed In Official Sketches Ahead Of Debut

Hyundai Alcazar Previewed In Official Sketches Ahead Of Debut | V3Cars

Hyundai Alcazar is set to make its global debut in April 2021. And while the unveiling still a few weeks away, the carmaker has previewed the Creta-based SUV with a set of official design sketches.

Hyundai Alcazar

As expected, the side profile of the 7-seater SUV looks identical to that of the Creta till the B-pillar. Post that, it features a flatter roofline, flatter window line, thicker C-pillar and a bigger quarter glass in order to accommodate the longer rear overhang. It also gets a prominent character line running across the length. It is similar to the character line seen on the Creta but is extended further for extra length. The Alcazar will also feature a completely new rear end with a more upright tailgate, wider wrap-around tail lamps with C-shaped LED detailing and a taller rear bumper with a faux skid plate. Hyundai will also offer redesigned alloy wheels and a mildly updated front end to set the Alcazar apart from the Creta.

Inside the cabin, while the layout remains identical to the Creta, it gets an additional row of seats. The official sketch also reveals that the Alcazar will get captain seats in the second row with a floor-mounted centre handrest. The Alcazar will also be offered with a 7-seater configuration with a bench-type seat instead of the captain seats in the second row.

Safety features on offer include upto 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control and hill hold control.

Under the hood, the Alcazar will come with the same set of petrol and diesel engines as the Creta. There are three engine options on offer:
