Although Hyundai is yet to unveil the exterior design of the SUV, from what we have seen in the spy shots, the Alcazar will be similar to the Creta at least till the B-pillar. Post that, it will feature a flatter roofline and a redesigned rear profile with new chunkier tail lamps. To set itself apart from the Creta, expect Alcazar to feature some mild cosmetic updates at the front and a new set of alloy wheels.

Talking about the dimensions, while the Alcazar is expected to be longer than the Creta, width, height and wheelbase are expected to be identical to the 5-seater SUV. For reference, the Creta is 4300mm long, 1790mm wide and 1635mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2610mm.

Similarly, Alcazar’s cabin layout is expected to be identical to that of the Creta save for an additional third-row seat. The Alcazar will be offered with both 6-and 7-seater configurations. While the 7-seater Alcazar will get a bench-type seat in the second row, the 6-seater version will be equipped with captain seats, instead.

Alcazar’s feature list is also expected to be similar to that of the Creta. It gets features like a panoramic sunroof, auto LED headlamps, digital instrument cluster, auto AC with rear AC vents, auto-dimming IRMV, air purifier, ambient lighting, powered driver’s seat, Bose sound system, wireless charging, ventilated front seats and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and connected car tech.

Safety features on offer include upto 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control and hill hold control.

While the Creta is available with three engine options to choose from, the Alcazar is expected to be offered with two engine options only. It is expected to get Creta’s 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine, skipping the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit. Here are the details of all three engines.
