BMW has finally launched the LWB version of the 3 Series in India. Christened the 3 Series Gran Limousine, it is available in three variants priced from Rs 51.50 lakh to Rs 53.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). India is the first right-hand market to get the 3 Series LWB and it replaces the 3 Gran Tourismo in BMW’s India lineup.

Here is the detailed price list of the 3 Series Gran Limousine:

Variant

Price (ex-showroom India)

320Ld Luxury Line

Rs 51.50 lakh

330Li Luxury Line

Rs 52.50 lakh

330Li M Sport First Edition

Rs 53.90 lakh

At this price point, the 3 Series Gran Limousine attracts a premium of around Rs 4 lakh over the similar variants of the standard 3 Series sedan. For this extra premium, the 3 Series Gran Limousine offers extra legroom in the second row and a larger panoramic sunroof.

In terms of dimensions, the 3 Series Gran Limousine is 120mm longer than the standard 3 Series and also has a 110mm longer wheelbase. It is also a tad taller. The width, however, remains unchanged at 1827mm.

Features on offer remain similar to the standard 3 Series sedan including LED headlamps, ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and gesture control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, multiple airbags and cruise control with braking function.

Similarly, under the hood, it continues forward with the 3 Series’ 2.0-litre diesel and petrol engines making 190PS/400Nm and 258PS/400Nm, respectively. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 3 Series Gran Limousine has no direct rivals in India but it can be seen as a more spacious option for other premium mid-size sedans like the Mercedes-Benz C Class, Audi A4 facelift, BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE and the upcoming Volvo S60.
