Audi has teased the comeback S5 Sportback for India. The S5 Sportback facelift debuted at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show and the car is expected to go on sale in India in the coming few months.

In terms of design, the S5 Sportback looks sharper and more aggressive than the pre-facelift model, which was on sale in India from 2017 to 2019. Upfront, it gets a new set of LED headlamps featuring L-shaped DRLs flanking the new wider front grille with a honeycomb finish. The front bumper is also redesigned with larger more aggressively styled air dams. Similarly, at the back, it features updated LED tail lamps and a mildly redesigned rear bumper. The side profile, however, remains unchanged save for a new set of alloy wheels.

Changes on the inside continue to be minimalistic in nature. While the layout remains unchanged, the only major change comes in the form of a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen infotainment system which replaces the non-touch unit of the pre-facelift model. It supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Other features are expected to remain similar in the form of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone AC, powered front seats and multiple airbags.

Under the hood, the updated S5 is likely to be powered by a six-cylinder 3.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine that makes 359PS and 500Nm. Power is sent to all four-wheel via an 8-speed torque converter automatic working in tandem with a Quattro 4WD system.

Audi is expected to price the S5 facelift around Rs 75 lakh. It will take on the likes of the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC and the upcoming BMW M340i sedan.
