2021 Mini Countryman Facelift Launched In India | V3Cars

Mini has launched the 2021 Countryman facelift in India. It is available in two variants: Cooper S and Cooper S JCW Inspired, priced at Rs 39.50 lakh and Rs 43.40 lakh (ex-showroom India), respectively. With the introduction of the updated SUV, Mini has discontinued the diesel version of the Countryman SUV.

 

2021 Mini Countryman Facelift

In terms of design, the facelifted Countryman gets updated front and rear bumpers and a bigger front grille. It also gets new LED headlamps, Jack Union LED tail lamps and new alloy wheels. While the Cooper S gets 17-inch units, the JCW variant comes with 18-inch wheels. Other elements that are limited to the JCW inspired variant include a JCW aerodynamic kit and a rear spoiler.  

On the inside, the cabin layout remains unchanged save for a new 5.5-inch digital instrument cluster and new gear knob. The JCW variant gets exclusive bits on the inside as well in the from of the JCW steering wheel and JCW scuff plates and stainless steel pedal covers. The JCW variant also gets exclusive brown and grey upholstery options. 

On the features front, the updated Countryman gets a head-up display, panoramic glass roof, powered tailgate, front and rear fog lamps, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, cruise control with brake function, dual-zone AC, powered front seats, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon sound system and a wireless mobile charger. 

Safety features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, dynamic stability control and a run-flat indicator. 

Under the hood, the Countryman facelift is offered with a petrol engine only. It gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 192PS and 280Nm paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It comes with two driving modes: Green and Sport. 

The 2021 Countryman continues to take on likes of the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Audi Q2 and the upcoming Mercedes Benz GLA and Audi Q3.
