7 Features Tata Altroz Gets But Are Missing In Toyota Glanza

7 Features Tata Altroz Gets But Toyota Glanza Doesn’t | V3Cars

The Tata Altroz is the most-stylish and safest premium hatchback currently on sale. However, despite having those advantages along with a long list of features, it still faces tough competition from the Toyota Glanza. The new-gen Glanza not only offers several new features but also improved styling over its predecessor.

Features Tata Altroz Gets But Are Missing In Toyota Glanza

In this article, we share the list of features you get in the Tata Altroz but miss in the Toyota Glanza.

1. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

The top variants of the Tata Altroz come with a tyre pressure monitoring system. It tells the real-time pressure of each tyre. It also alerts the driver in case of an underinflated tyre or a puncture. This feature is absent in the Glanza, and we think every new car in this segment should have this safety feature.

2. Cornering Lamps

The top variants of the Tata Altroz offer cornering lamps that improve the driving experience at night. Cornering lamps light up the corners of the road while you make a turn, thus improving visibility. The Glanza lacks cornering lamps.

3. Multi Drive Modes

While the normal petrol variants of the Altroz offer Eco and City drive modes, the turbo petrol variants offer City and Sport drive modes. The Glanza, on the other hand, doesn’t offer any drive modes.

4. Rain-Sensing Wipers

The top variants of the Tata Altroz offer rain-sensing wipers, which aren’t available in the Glanza. Rain-sensing wipers not only turn on automatically when it starts raining, they can also adjust the wiper speed depending on the intensity of the rain. It is worth mentioning that both the Glanza and Altroz offer automatic headlights.

5. Full-Colour LCD Display

The Altroz offers a 7.0-inch full-colour LCD display along with an analogue speedometer. Besides the usual set of information that a multi-information display (MID) offers, this screen also shows turn-by-turn navigation to the driver while the touchscreen infotainment system displays media and playback controls. The Glanza, on the other hand, gets  a conventional twin-dial setup along with a colour MID. The top variants of the Glanza also get a head-up display that offers turn-by-turn navigation along with other information. Hence, the lack of a bigger MID is not such a deal-breaker.

6. Height Adjustable Seatbelts

The Tata Altroz offers height adjustable seatbelts in its top variants. The Toyota Glanza, on the other hand, doesn’t offer height-adjustable seatbelts even in the top variants. Height-adjustable seatbelts let a short person adjust the height of the seatbelt for better comfort and safety.

7. Leather Seats

The top-spec XZ+ variant of the Altroz offers leather seat upholstery along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter. The Glanza, on the other hand, comes with fabric seat upholstery while offering a leather-wrapped steering wheel in the top variants.
