7 Features Toyota Glanza Gets But Tata Altroz Doesn’t | V3Cars

The Tata Altroz is the most-stylish and safest premium hatchback currently on sale. However, despite having those advantages along with a long list of features, it still faces tough competition from the Toyota Glanza. The new-gen Glanza not only offers several new features but also improved styling over its predecessor.

Features Toyota Glanza Gets But Are Missing In Tata Altroz

In this article, we share the list of features you get in the Toyota Glanza but miss in the Tata Altroz.

1. Side Thorax And Curtain Airbags

The top 2 variants of the Glanza offer front side thorax and curtain airbags whereas the Altroz only offers driver and co-passenger airbags. It is worth mentioning that the Altroz received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP whereas the Glanza is yet to get tested from Global NCAP.

2. 360 Degree Parking Camera

The top variants of the new Glanza come with a 360-degree parking camera. It offers a bird’s eye view of the car and also views from multiple angles. While it doesn’t get front parking sensors, the system senses any obstacles around the car from the camera feed and shows an alert with a chime on the touchscreen infotainment system.

3. LED Headlights And Fog Lamps

The new Glanza comes with LED projector headlights and LED reflector fog lights. The Altroz, on the other hand, comes with halogen-based projector headlights and halogen fog lights.

4. Head-Up Display

The top variant of the new Glanza offers a head-up display. The reflector-based head-up display rises up every time you start driving the car. It projects vital information like vehicle speed, engine RPM, fuel efficiency, turn-by-turn navigation and music playback.

5. Hill Start Assist

The automatic variants of the Glanza come with hill-start assist as standard. The Altroz, on the other hand, doesn’t offer this feature even with its top-spec automatic variant. Hill-start assist holds the car on an incline and lets you switch from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal seamlessly. This feature is a good-to-have feature in automatic cars but the Altroz lacks it.

6. Auto-Dimming IRVM

The top-spec Glanza comes with an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM) whereas the Altroz comes with a manual day/night IRVM. Auto-dimming IRVM reduces glare at night and makes driving at night a lot more enjoyable without you having to manually adjust anything.

7. Telescopic Steering

The Toyota Glanza offers tilt and telescopic steering whereas the Altroz only offers tilt adjustability. Telescopic steering comes in handy to find the perfect driving position, especially for shorter drivers.
