MG ZS EV Facelift Officially Revealed | V3Cars

MG Motor have shared images of the facelifted, India-spec ZS EV. It gets many cosmetic changes on the outside, which now resembles the international ZS EV. Spy shots captured earlier revealed the interior of the electric SUV, which is identical to the Astor, its petrol counterpart.

MG ZS EV

The most prominent change comes at the front. It gets a closed-off grille finished in body-colour and has a textured pattern. The previous version had a more conventional grille at the front. The charging port has now moved to the left of the MG logo instad of under it. The side profile remains the same but gets a new design for the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The LED headlights, DRLs and taillights are all new and identical to the Astor.

The new ZS EV will also get many new features, one of which is ADAS. The Autonomous driving level-2, which is already offered in the Astor, will make its way to the ZS EV facelift. It will also get a bigger, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired phone connectivity (similar to Astor) and a 360-degree camera setup.

Apart from these changes, the ZS EV will carry forward features like a panoramic sunroof, full-colour LCD instrument cluster, connected car technology, auto AC, and driving modes. However, the facelift lacks an auto-dimming IRVM, which is also absent in the Astor.

The current ZS EV uses a 44.5kWh battery that produces 142PS and 350Nm of torque. The claimed range of the ZS EV is 419km. MG claim that the new ZS EV will offer more range than any other EV in India. To pull this off, MG will have to extend the battery size of the ZS EV. Rumours suggest that the facelift will get a bigger, 51kWh battery that’s offered in the international model.

The current ZS EV is priced between Rs. 21.1 lakh to Rs. 24.1 lakh (ex-showroom). The bigger battery could increase the price up to Rs. 28 lakh (ex-showroom).
