2022 BMW X3 Launched; Prices Start From Rs 59.99 Lakh | V3Cars

BMW India have launched the 2022 X3 Facelift in India in two variants - SportX Plus, priced at Rs. 59.99 lakh, and M Sport, priced at Rs. 65.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The German carmaker will introduce a diesel engine in the X3 at a later stage.

BMW unveiled the X3 and X4 facelift last year. The 2022 X3 comes with several design changes but carries on with the same powertrains as before. Talking about the exterior changes, the new X3 comes with a redesigned yet sizable kidney grille, updated LED Matrix headlights, reworked bumpers, 19-inch M Sport alloy wheels, and new LED tail lights. Buyers also get the option to upgrade to 20-inch alloy wheels. The top-spec M Sport trim gets sportier bumpers, larger air intakes, an M Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, and an M Sport alloy wheel design.

On the inside, the new X3 offers a bigger 12.3-inch floating xDrive infotainment system. Other changes include redesigned AC vents, updated center console and updated air-con controls. On the features front, the 2022 X3 offers a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, adaptive dampers, multi-drive modes, and 3-zone climate control.

On the powertrain front, BMW currently offer a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. It produces 252PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Both the SportX Plus and M Sport come equipped with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive as standard. Along with the 4-wheel-drive, the X3 also offers electrically-lockable front and rear differentials for off-road situations. BMW India will launch the diesel variants of the X3 that will come powered with a 2.0L diesel engine, borrowed from the 3-Series.

2022 BMW X3 takes on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Volvo XC60, and Audi Q5. The latter two rivals of the X3 recently received a mild facelift. Both the Volvo XC60 and Audi Q5 are now only available with a petrol engine whereas the GLC and Evoque get both diesel and petrol options.
