To set itself apart from the standard 5 Series, the M5 does get some M-specific updates like a blacked-out front grille, ORVMs, 20-inch alloys and rear lip spoiler. It also gets a carbon fibre roof, smoked headlamps and tail lamps, redesigned rear bumper with redesigned diffuser and blacked-out chrome quad M-Sport exhaust tips.
Similarly, on the inside, while the layout is similar to the standard 5 Series, it gets an all-black interior with an M-specific steering wheel. Features on offer include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, gesture control, adaptive cruise control, head-up display, powered front seats with seat heating, ambient lighting, 4-zone AC, powered tailgate, electrically adjustable steering column, a Harman Kardon 16-speaker setup, and a wireless display key.
Safety features on offer include 6 airbags, parking assistant with reversing assistant, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake and cruise control with braking function.
The M5 Competiton is also offered with an array of optional equipment like M Carbon engine cover, M ceramic brake, heated steering wheel, 360-degree camera, sot close doors, panoramic sunroof, ventilated fronts massage function, heated rear seats, among others.
The updated M5 Competition rekindles rivalry against the Audi RS7 Sportback.
