The Tata Safari and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic are both SUVs. The Safari is 4661mm long, 1894mm wide and 1786mm tall. The Safari’s wheelbase is 2741mm long. The Scorpio Classic measures 4456mm long, 1820mm wide and 1995mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2680mm. In terms of dimensions, the Tata Safari is slightly smaller than the Mahindra Scorpio Classic. So, the Scorpio Classic will offer a stronger road presence than the Safari.

The Tata Safari only gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic TC transmission. The Safari’s turbo diesel engine makes 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1750 and 2500rpm.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is only available with a 2.2L turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 130PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1600 and 2800rpm.
