The Kia Seltos and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic are both SUVs. The Seltos is 4315mm long, 1800mm wide and 1645mm tall. The Seltos’s wheelbase is 2610mm long. The Scorpio Classic measures 4456mm long, 1820mm wide and 1995mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2680mm. In terms of dimensions, the Kia Seltos is significantly smaller than the Mahindra Scorpio Classic. So, the Scorpio Classic will offer a stronger road presence than the Seltos.

The Seltos has a ground clearance of 190mm while the Scorpio Classic has an estimated ground clearance of 209mm. The boot space of the Seltos is 433-litre. The boot space of the Scorpio Classic has not been officially revealed.

The Kia Seltos is only available with a 1.5L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. The Seltos’s 1.5L normal petrol engine makes 115PS of power at 6300rpm and 144Nm of torque at 4500rpm.

Mahindra doesn't offer the Scorpio Classic with a petrol engine option.

The Kia Seltos only gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed ACMT and 6-speed automatic TC transmission. The Seltos’s turbo diesel engine makes 115PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750rpm.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is only available with a 2.2L turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 130PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1600 and 2800rpm.
