The Toyota Innova Hycross is the longest car in its class with a length of 4,755mm. It is 20mm longer than the Innova Crysta and 35mm longer than the Hector Plus. The new Innova Hycross also gets a class-leading wheelbase of 2850mm, which is 100mm more than the Innova Crysta. It is also worth mentioning that the Innova Hycross is the only other car in its class to offer an 8-seater option apart from the Innova Crysta.

The Toyota Innova Hycross will come with 2 engine options — a 2.0L normal petrol and a 2.0L strong hybrid petrol engine. The Innova Hycross is the first car in its class to come with a strong hybrid powertrain and a segment-best fuel efficiency of 21.1kmpl. However, it’s the Scorpio N which leads the pack in terms of power and torque outputs. The Scorpio N petrol offers 203PS of power and 380Nm of torque over the Innova Hycross’ 186PS and 206Nm.

Unlike the Innova Hycross, all the other cars and SUVs in the D1-segment comes with a diesel engine. The Innova Crysta also comes with a 2.4L turbo diesel engine, bookings of which will commence from January 2023 onwards.
