The pros or advantages of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso are:

The top 2 variants also offer the option of an automatic for an additional Rs. 55,000, which is a reasonable asking price for this type of automatic transmission. The 2 S-Presso automatic variants cost Rs. 5.77 lakh and Rs. 6.06 lakh.

The mid-spec LXI and VXI variants also offer the option of bi-fuel CNG-manual powertrain for an additional Rs. 90,000. The LXI and VXI CNG variants of the Spresso cost Rs. 5.92 and Rs. 6.12 lakh, respectively.

The top-spec VXI Plus manual costs Rs. 5.51 lakh while the automatic costs Rs. 6.06 lakh. These prices are Rs. 29,000 higher than the lower VXI variant. It gets the following notable additional features over the VXI trim:

The base STD variant doesn’t get must-have features like AC and power steering. So, we won’t suggest STD variant to anyone. The LXI variant gets these 2 critical features but it costs way too much and offers poor value for money. The S-Presso VXI costs only Rs. 20,000 more and offers many must-have features along with a far better value for money than the LXI variant. So, this is our top recommendation for all S-Presso buyers. This is the minimum variant you should buy if you’re buying the S-Presso. The top-spec VXI Plus variant also offers similar value for money as the VXI variant and is worth considering if you find its features compelling enough. It’s worth noting that besides better value and ownership experience, the VXI and VXI Plus variants also offer about 0.6kmpl better mileage than the lower STD and LXI variants.

Just like the S-Presso manual, the VXI (O) variant is our top recommendation for all buyers. Meanwhile, the VXI Plus (O) is also value-wise worth buying if you want the unique features of the top model. It’s worth noting that besides the electronic stability control (ESC) and hill start assist (HSA), the S-Presso AMT automatic variants also offer about 0.5kmpl better mileage than the comparable manual variants.

What Are The Engine Specifications Of The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Petrol?

In terms of performance too, the Kwid 1.0L has the upper hand over the S-Presso in all areas but mileage. The S-Presso’s new dual-jet petrol engine promises around 24 - 25kmpl while the Kwid’s mileage figures are closer to 22kmpl. However, the Kwid 1.0L has a slightly better power and torque output than the S-Presso. Among the CNG-powered A-segment cars, the S-Presso has a respectable torque output of 82.1Nm. It also has a fantastic mileage figure of 32.73kmpkg, which gives it a cost-per-KM figure of Rs. 2.25. What Are The Dimensions Of The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso?

In terms of dimensions, the S-Presso is taller than the Kwid but narrower and considerably shorter too. Maruti S-Presso’s ground clearance of 180mm, 2380mm wheelbase, boot space measuring 270L, fuel tank capacity of 27L are also inferior to the Kwid’s.
