Here also, the premium for the automatic transmission is the same at Rs. 1.90 lakh over the manual. This variant costs Rs. 2.50 lakh more than the lower Limited variant.

For the additional sum, you get the following notable features:

• Driver seat with memory
• Ventilated front seats
• Panoramic sunroof
• 360-degree camera
• Power opening boot lid
• Larger screen in the instrument cluster

The Limited (O) gets several features, which are almost must-have for a car at this price point. So, for a good ownership experience, we’ll suggest buying the Limited (O). Between the manual and automatic, the automatic is an easy choice even though it seems a little expensive over the manual. However, an automatic transmission is essential even for chauffeur-driven customers. In terms of the engine specs, the front-wheel-drive Meridian has a much better power- and torque-to-weight ratio than the Gloster’s base engine. The Gloster is much heavier with its body-on-frame construction and a rear-wheel drivetrain. For regular driving, the Meridian will feel much quicker because of this. Jeep have also revealed the Meridian’s mileage figures, which are around 15 - 16kmpl. The Gloster’s mileage figures aren’t available but we can’t expect it to offer better real-world mileage than the Meridian, which is a fair bit lighter than the Gloster.
