The limited-run variants are based on the Comfortline variant of the two cars. Both the cars are offered in four variants. While the Polo is offered in Trendline, Comfortline, Highline Plus and GT Line, the Vento is available in Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus.

Before the introduction of the TSI Turbo Edition, the 1.0-litre TSI engine on Polo was limited to the Highline Plus and GT Line variants only. As a result, prices of the TSI-powered Polo has come down to 6.99 lakh from Rs 8.34 lakh (Highline Plus). For Vento, the Turbo Edition is the new base-spec variant priced at Rs 8.69 lakh, Rs 40,000 less than the Trendline which retails from Rs 9.09 lakh. Unlike Polo, the Vento gets 1.0-litre TSI engine as standard across the variant lineup.

It is to be noted that in the Turbo Edition, both the cars get a 1.0-litre TSI engine paired to a 6-speed MT only. While in the higher variants of both the cars, this engine is offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic as well.

The Turbo Edition variants get some cosmetic updates over the standard model. They get a new glossy black spoiler, black ORVM caps, Turbo badge and exclusive seat covers. They also get redesigned 15-inch alloys. The feature list on the Turbo Edition variants remains identical to the Comfortline variant save for the addition of auto AC on the Polo Turbo Edition. The Vento already gets auto AC as standard from the Comfortline variant.

Other features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth enabled music system, height-adjustable driver’s seat and power windows.

While prices of the Polo range from Rs 6.01 lakh to Rs 9.92 lakh, the Vento retails from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom India).
