Upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift Spotted On Indian Roads — Launch Likely Soon | V3Cars
To answer the growing competition in respective segments, Hyundai are gearing up to bring updates to their best selling models. The South-Korean carmaker recently commenced the local road testing of the upcoming Grand i10 Nios facelift. It recently made its first appearance wearing camouflage to hide its front and rear design changes.
2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift — Exteriors
Hyundai could offer a host of changes to the exteriors of the Grand i10 Nios facelift. Up front, it could offer a redesigned grille with a mesh pattern while retaining the halogen projector headlamps. The spy shots do not lend any detail about the incorporation of a DRL within the headlight casing. Hence, we expect the Grand i10 Nios to keep the DRLs in the grille.
Around the side, the Grand i10 Nios facelift could offer a new set of machined alloy wheels, measuring 15-inch in size. Although currently, it looks like the test car is running on the older alloys. Other than that, the spy shots do not reveal any other changes on the side profile. Around the rear, however, we can see some touchups in the tail lamps while keeping the tail lamp housing as is.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift — Interiors
While the spy shots do not give any glimpse of the inside, we expect the new Grand i10 Nios facelift to offer some design changes in the dashboard and newer upholstery material and design. Furthermore, it could offer a new infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, cruise control and rear AC vents.
2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift — Powertrain Options
With the facelift, the Grand i10 Nios could offer the current set of engine options. Currently, there is no clarity on the status of the Grand i10 Nios diesel. Hyundai’s website doesn’t mention the prices for the diesel variants of the Nios. With the facelift also, we do not expect Hyundai to offer an option of a diesel engine.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift is likely to offer the 83PS 1.2L normal petrol, 69PS 1.2L normal petrol-CNG and 100PS 1.0L turbo petrol engine options. While the 1.2L petrol-CNG and 1.0L turbo petrol come with a 5-speed manual transmission, the 1.2L normal petrol engine will also offer the AMT automatic as an option.

Hyundai India are likely to reveal the Grand i10 Nios facelift at the 2023 Auto Expo. Hyundai are also likely to unveil the new-gen Verna and Creta facelift at the upcoming auto show. The updated Grand i10 Nios will continue to go up against other hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Citroen C3 and Tata Tiago. Because of the price overlap, it also competes with Maruti Suzuki cars like the WagonR, Ignis and Celerio.
