5th-Gen Honda City Facelift

2023 City Facelift

Honda are all set to launch the City facelift on March 2, 2023. Bookings for the upcoming sedan are already open and dealer dispatches have begun as well. The new City facelift offers a couple of design updates along with new features and more affordable variants. While the petrol manual will get a new base SV trim, the strong hybrid powertrain will now also be offered in a new V variant.

Furthermore, even the petrol manual variants of the new City will now offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). In terms of powertrains, the new City will drop the diesel engine and continue with normal petrol and strong hybrid petrol powertrains, albeit with BS6 phase-2 compliance.

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna

2023 Verna

Hyundai will launch the 2023 Verna sedan on March 21, 2023. The carmaker commenced bookings for the upcoming sedan in February for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. The new Verna will offer a host of changes in terms of design, features and engine options. It will offer a modern design with a connected LED light bar on the front along with split LED headlights and connected LED tail lights.

In terms of features, the new Verna is likely to offer twin 10.25-inch screens, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, power-adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The new Verna will offer a 1.5L normal petrol and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine option with both manual and automatic transmission options. The new Verna will not be available with a diesel engine option. It will continue to rival other C-segment sedans like the Honda City facelift, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

Toyota Innova Crysta

Innova Crysta

Toyota India opened bookings for the Innova Crysta in January 2023. Unlike before, the updated Innova Crysta comes with a diesel manual powertrain only. Toyota have also mildly updated the looks of the Innova Crysta with the addition of a revised grille and bumper. The Toyota Innova Crysta now comes in 4 variant options — G, GX, VX and ZX. The base 3 variants come with both 7- and 8-seater options whereas the ZX variant comes exclusively with the 7-seater option with captain chairs in the 2nd row.

Hyundai Alcazar Turbo Petrol

Alcazar

Hyundai recently opened bookings for the Alcazar turbo petrol SUV. Earlier, Hyundai offered the Alcazar family SUV with a 2.0L normal petrol engine and 1.5L turbo diesel engine. For the year 2023, Hyundai have replaced the 2.0L normal petrol engine with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine, whereas the diesel engine continues to be on sale. The new 1.5L turbo petrol engine offers 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
