Mahindra discontinued the TUV300 with the introduction of BS6 emission norms on 1 April 2019. Now, the carmaker is all set to re-introduce the SUV as it has been spotted recently during a commercial shoot. From what we can see in the spy shots, the updated TUV300 will not only get a new BS6 engine will feature significant changes on the design and feature front as well. It is also expected to renamed as the Bolero Neo as the SUV featured a ‘Bolero Neo’ badging instead of the ‘TUV300’ badge on the tailgate.

In terms of design, the facelifted TUV300 facelift gets a new 6-slat grille flanked by larger wrap-around headlamps. It also gets a redesigned front bumper with sleeker fog lamp housing. The side and rear profile remain largely unchanged but get new alloys, slightly tweaked tail lamps and a redesigned bumper.

While we are yet to get a glimpse of the SUV’s interior, it is safe to assume it will get a refreshed cabin. It will also get an updated list of features. It is expected to get features like an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto AC with rear AC vents, push-button start and cruise control. Safety features on offer should include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a parking camera.

Under the hood, it is expected to get an updated version of the 1.5-litre diesel engine. Earlier, it used to make 100PS and 240Nm mated to a 5-speed MT. Mahindra might introduce a 5-speed AMT on the updated SUV.

Mahindra is expected to launch the TUV300 facelift or Bolero Neo in the coming few months. Prices are expected to range from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. It will take on likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite and its sibling the XUV300.
