Tata Motors To Deliver 10,000 EVs To BluSmart - Biggest Fleet Order In India Yet | V3Cars

On the occasion of World Enviroment Day, Tata Motors signed an agreement with BluSmart Electric Mobility to deliver 10,000 XPRES-T EVs. This is the biggest ever fleet order in India yet. This order is in addition to the existing order for 3,500 XPRES-T EVs placed by the company in October last year.

BluSmart Electric Mobility is an electric fleet operating company. According to the company, their electric vehicles have operated for 5 crore kilometres without any harmful emissions. Till date, they have completed over 16 lakh rides across the country. They further plan to build a large-scale integrated EV mobility ecosystem in India - from the country's largest fully-electric ride hailing service to the largest network of EV charging super hubs.

Tata Motors launched the XPRES brand exclusively for fleet operators in July 2021. The XPRES-T is their first and currently only product under the brand. The XPRES-T electric sedan comes with 2 range options of 213km and 165km. These models get a 21.5kWh and 16.5kWh battery packs and can be charged from 0- 80% in 90 mins and 110 mins respectively using a fast charger. Features like auto AC, dual airbags, ABS with EBD are standard across variants.

Tata Motors are currently leaders in the Indian EV market, with a market share 87% in FY '22. Currently, there are over 25,000 Tata EVs on the road, including personal and fleet EVs. Tata Motors are working with other Tata Group companies, including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance and Croma, to contribute to the faster adoption of EVs in India through their EV ecosystem called the ‘Tata uniEVerse’.
