Tata Reveal Curvv EV, Harrier EV, Sierra EV, Altroz EV Launch Details

Upcoming Tata EV Launch Timeline Revealed – Curvv EV, Harrier EV, Sierra EV And Altroz EV | V3Cars

At the launch of the Punch EV, Tata Motors revealed the launch timeline of its upcoming EVs, including the Curvv EV, Harrier EV, Sierra EV and the Altroz EV. Tata Motors currently offer EVs across 4 segments – B1 hatchback (Tiago EV), B1 SUV (Punch EV), B2 sedan (Tigor EV) and B2 SUV (Nexon EV) – in India. It’s safe to say Tata Motors are a dominant force when it comes to electric vehicles in India. Hence, we can safely assume the upcoming Tata EVs will only strengthen the brand’s presence in the EV segment further.

Upcoming Tata EVs In 2024 – Curvv EV, Harrier EV

Following the launch of the Punch EV, Tata are now working towards the Curvv EV launch in India. A near production-ready version of the Curvv EV was showcased at the recently held Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.

The Curvv EV will mark Tata Motors’ debut in the competitive C-SUV segment. However, unlike other C-segment SUVs, the Tata Curvv EV boasts a unique coupe-like roofline. At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors stated that the Curvv EV would go on sale before its ICE versions. When launched, the Tata Curvv EV will not only compete with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX and its Toyota counterpart but also take on the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.

After the Curvv EV, Tata plan to launch the Harrier EV. The Tata Harrier EV concept, too, was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. While Tata are yet to reveal the powertrain specifications of the Harrier EV, the concept offers a glimpse into the design of the production-spec electric SUV. Tata say the production-spec Harrier EV will offer “uncompromised range and forward-looking tech features” coupled with a svelte design.

While the Harrier EV will be based on the Harrier ICE’s Land Rover-derived Omega architecture, it will undergo heavy reengineering to accommodate a large battery pack and electric motors.

Tata Sierra EV, Altroz EV To Launch In 2025

Tata Motors will kickstart 2025 with the launch of the Sierra EV, which was showcased in its concept form at the 2020 and 2023 editions of the Auto Expo. The Sierra EV will be based on the Acti.ev architecture and offer a range of around 500km per charge. However, unlike the original Sierra, the Sierra EV will offer 4 conventional doors. The design patent image of the Sierra 2025 left us disappointed and you can read all about it below.

The Altroz EV will follow the Sierra EV. The Altroz EV was expected to launch after the Nexon EV in 2020. However, Tata Motors have now confirmed the Altroz EV will launch in 2025. We expect Tata Motors to officially launch the electric hatchback at the 2025 Auto Expo. It will be based on the same platform as the Punch EV and is likely to come with 25- 35kwH battery pack options and offer a range of 315 - 421km.
