In this September 2022 Hyundai car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Hyundai for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Hyundai cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Hyundai cars.

September 2022 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

The Creta is a consistent top performer for Hyundai, with almost 13,000 units sold in September 2022
The Grand i10 lost its place in the 5-digit sales figure club despite more than doubling its dispatches in September 2022 as compared to September 2021
The Creta and Venue are the only cars from Hyundai with 5-digit production numbers in September
Disregarding the Kona Electric and Tucson’s numbers for the purpose of this analysis, the Grand i10 was the top gainer in YoY comparison in the month of September
The Grand i10 was followed by Verna, with an 88% YoY growth in September
There were no absolute YoY declines in any current offerings from Hyundai, but the iconic A-segment hatchback Santro was discontinued by Hyundai after poor performance in terms of sale in the last few months. Hyundai had previously discontinued the Elantra D-segment sedan for the same reason in the past year.

September 2022 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

The new Tucson performed well in the sales chart, with just over a 22% growth in its numbers in September 2022 MoM comparison. It was also the top gainer from Hyundai’s stable
The Alcazar was a close second after the Tucson with a near 15% gain in numbers in September over last month
The Verna was the worst performer, with a near 5% decline in dispatch number in September compared to the previous month
