In this Q4 2022 Maruti Suzuki quarterly cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Arena and Nexa for the previous year. We’ll also compare the YoY and QoQ change to find out which Maruti cars’ sales improved and which ones declined.

Q4 2022 - Maruti Suzuki Quarterly Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

6 out of 14 Maruti cars saw a drop in sales figures in our YoY Maruti Suzuki sales comparison
Maruti produced 3,84,742 cars in Q4 2022 compared to 3,41,729 units in Q4 2021, which is an increase of 43,013 units.
The Ignis was the top YoY gainer, with 142% growth in Q4 of 2022, followed by Dzire and Baleno with a 44% and 38% YoY rise in dispatches, respectively.
The top YoY loser was S-Presso, with a YoY decline of 44%, followed by Celerio, with around 42% YoY decline.
The Maruti S-Cross was discontinued over the past year. Hence, there’s no YoY comparison for December 2022.

Q4 2022 - Maruti Suzuki Quarterly Car Sales Figures - QoQ Change

Sales of the Baleno remained pretty much the same in Q4 of 2022 compared to Q3.
The Baleno was the top-selling car for Maruti in both quarters, making it a consistent star performer for the carmaker.
Maruti Suzuki sold nearly 3 lakh 85 thousand units in Q4, compared to about 4 lakh 25 thousand units in Q3 of 2022, which is a QoQ decrease of 9.56% in sales for Maruti.
The XL6, Celeio, S-Presso and Ciaz are the lowest performing cars for Maruti QoQ, each selling less than 10,000 units per quarter.
The Grand Vitara saw a QoQ growth of 291% in dispatches and was the top gaining car for Maruti.
Among the top QoQ losers, the S-Presso and Celerio hatchbacks top the chart with about 69% and 56% drop in sales in Q4 over Q3 of 2022, respectively.
