Next-Gen Nissan Kicks Spotted Ahead of Global Unveil | V3Cars
Next-gen Nissan Kicks SUV has been spotted undergoing testing with heavy camouflage ahead of its global debut. The new-gen Kicks is expected to draw inspiration from Nissan's other models, and it will be underpinned by the CMF-B platform that can support both hybrid and all-electric powertrains. The spied images reveal several design changes, including a prominent grille, large wheel arches with thick cladding, and a unique alloy wheel design. The SUV is likely to offer advanced driver-assistance systems and rear disc brakes, and it may feature a new set of tail lights with cube-like patterns.
Next-Gen Nissan Kicks - Exterior Design
Nissan are developing the next-generation Kicks SUV for global markets. Spy shots of the vehicle wearing heavy camouflage during testing recently surfaced online.
The new Kicks is likely to borrow design cues from other Nissan models and will sit on the CMF-B platform, which allows for a variety of powertrain options including hybrid and electric. Nissan may introduce its e-power hybrid system in certain markets for the new Kicks. The vehicle is expected to have a flatter front fascia, sloping roofline, new bumper designs and a revamped boot lid with new tail lights.
From the spied images, it is apparent that the next-gen Kicks features high-mounted DRLs integrated with the headlamps, a wide and differently designed grille compared to the previous model and large wheel arches with thick cladding. The unique alloy wheels look like they are 17- or 18-inchers with three spokes, which are thicker than traditional wheel spokes. The rear of the vehicle is not completely visible, but the tail lamps are noticeable with cube-like patterns. The vehicle also has a rear spoiler, shark fin antenna and roof rails.

Next-Gen Nissan Kicks To Offer ADAS
Several discernible features in the upcoming Nissan Kicks indicate certain characteristics, including the presence of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). A radar-like hardware and, what looks like a camera array on the top of the windshield, are clearly visible in the vehicle. Additionally, front parking sensors and rear disc brakes are also visible in the testing vehicle.
New Nissan Kicks India Launch Timeline
The next-gen Kicks SUV could make its India debut in 2025. It will rival other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Since the Kicks brand never took off in India for Nissan, they may launch it with a different name.
Nissan Kicks Discontinued In India
Nissan recently discontinued the Kicks and didn’t give it a BS6 Phase 2 update. At the time of discontinuation, it was the only car in its segment with an ex-showroom price of less than Rs. 10.0 lakh.
