Next-Gen Hyundai Verna Spy Shots Reveal Twin Screen Setup — Debut Likely At 2023 Auto Expo | V3Cars

The next-gen Hyundai Verna was spied once again on test and the new images reveal an XUV700-like twin-screen setup on the inside. The new-gen Verna is likely to offer several new features, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

2023 Hyundai Verna Twin Screen Setup

The new-gen Verna will offer a twin screen setup, both of which could measure up to 10.25 inches in size. Currently, Hyundai offer the twin screen setup in global models like the Palisade and Ioniq 5. The India-spec Ioniq 5 will also offer a similar setup along with a magnetic surface dashboard to attach your memorable pictures and badges.

2023 Hyundai Verna Exterior Design Details

In terms of design, the leaked images reveal a few key elements of the new Verna. Firstly, it will get a hunkered down front end with split LED headlights that flank the large signature Hyundai grille. Around the side, the new Verna will get machine-cut alloy wheels and a chrome garnish below the window line with a knurled finish towards the end. At the rear, the new Verna will get connected LED tail lights with the ‘VERNA’ lettering positioned in the middle of the lightbar.

As we stated earlier, the next-gen Verna is also likely to offer ADAS features that could include the following:

- Auto emergency braking

- Lane keeping assist

- Adaptive cruise control

- Blind spot monitor

- Blind spot detection

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna — Powertrain Details

We are yet to receive any details about the 2023 Hyundai Verna’s powertrain options. However, we expect the new Verna to continue offering both petrol and diesel engine options as well as a new mild hybrid system. A few reports suggest that the new Verna will come with a 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines along with a mild-hybrid system and brake energy regeneration. This step could be an attempt to comply with upcoming CAFE-II emission norms in the country.

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna — Launch Timeline And Rivals

The next-gen Hyundai Verna is likely to make its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo while its launch could take place in early-2023. The new-gen Verna will go up against the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus.
