Tata Harrier Facelift Scores 5-Star Safety Rating In Latest Global NCAP Test | V3Cars

The Tata Harrier facelift, which was launched today at a price of Rs. 15.49 lakh, has scored a 5-star safety rating in the latest Global NCAP test under the Safer Cars for India campaign. The new Tata Harrier and Safari facelift are the first Tata models that were tested by Global NCAP’s new and more stringent test protocols. Let’s take a look at how the Tata Harrier facelift performed in the latest test.

2023 Tata Harrier Facelift

Tata Harrier Facelift Scores 5-Star Global NCAP Rating

The new Tata Harrier facelift scored 33.05 out of 34 points for adult occupant protection. The protection offered to the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck was rated good, while protection for their chest was deemed adequate.

In the child occupant safety test, the Harrier facelift scored 45 points out of 49. It scored a full 12 points for the child restraint system (CRS) and a maximum dynamic score of 24. The child occupant safety tests were conducted with dummies of an 18-month-old and 3-year-old seated rearwards.

In the side impact test with a deformable barrier, the Harrier facelift offered good protection for the head, chest, abdomen and pelvis. In the side pole impact tests, the standard curtain airbags in the Harrier facelift offered good protection to the head and pelvis and marginal protections to the chest and adequate protection to the abdomen.

The body shell of the Tata Harrier facelift was rated stable and capable of withstanding further loadings.
