Exclusive - 2022 MG ZS EV Power and Battery Specs | V3Cars
MG Motor India are all set to launch the 2022 ZS EV in the coming days. In the meantime, we managed to grab hold of the 2022 ZS EV’s battery and power specifications.. The new MG ZS EV will get a 50.3kWh battery pack, replacing the older 44kWh unit. The electric motor of the 2022 ZS EV will offer 176PS of power and 280Nm of torque. The new motor will enable the ZS EV to complete 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds, with a top speed of 175kmph.
We expect the 2022 ZS EV’s range to take a substantial leap forward thanks to the bigger battery pack. Interestingly, MG have tuned the power and torque figures differently. The current ZS EV, with its 44kWh battery pack, puts out 143PS of power and 350Nm of torque. However, the 2022 ZS EV will offer a significant bump in power, at 176PS, but less torque, at 280Nm. Will the reduced torque affect the real-world driving experience of the new ZS EV? Stay tuned for our detailed review to find out.

In terms of design, the 2022 ZS EV looks very similar to the petrol-powered Astor. Key differentiators between the ZS EV and Astor include an enclosed grille with a charging port, aerodynamically-efficient alloy wheels, and electric badging on the side fenders. The MG ZS EV will borrow the LED headlights and taillights from the Astor as well. Apart from the exterior updates, the ZS EV will also get several changes on the inside, including new features.
