Official: MG Motor To Increase Prices From Jan 1 | V3Cars
MG Motor recently notified us about a price hike from January 1, 2024. The reasons for the price hike quoted in the notification are the usual suspects: inflation and rising input costs. We expect it to remain fairly low and in the 1-2% range.
The statement reads:
“MG Motor India today announced that price increases for all its models will be in effect from January 2024. This hike is owing to the rising costs attributed to overall inflation and increased commodity prices.
…
To provide the best value proposition to its customers, MG Motor India is coming out with special year-end offers effective towards the end of December 2023*. Prospective MG buyers can avail of these benefits before the price hike takes effect in the subsequent month.”

Meanwhile, MG are also running year end discounts on their cars. The December 2023 offers on MG cars go as high as Rs. 2.10 lakh and a couple of them even have discounts of more than Rs. 1.0 lakh. You can know more about the offers at the following link:

It looks like with the offers carrot, MG are getting the fence sitters to take action and book the car soon. However, we’re not expecting to see a huge price increase in January 2024. So, you can book the MG car you were always planning to buy in the next few months. But if you intend to buy the car in the 2nd half of 2024, then there’s no need to hurry.
