MG Hector Facelift Spotted In London Ahead Of India Launch | V3Cars

MG Motor India have released multiple teasers of the new Hector facelift ahead of its launch. A new spy shot of the Hector facelift reveals its front design without any camouflage. The Hector facelift was spotted in London during its commercial ad shoot.

The new image reveals the Hector facelift’s large chrome grille with diamond-studding. It extends to the lower bumper and is flanked by split LED headlights. While the LED DRLs sit atop, the headlights along with the fog lights sit in a separate casing on the bumper. The lower part of the bumper also gets a silver skid plate, lending it a robust look.

MG released the interior images of the new Hector facelift, revealing various details. The images revealed the new multi-layer dashboard that uses a generous amount of soft-touch leatherette materials. The 14-inch vertically-positioned touchscreen infotainment is the highlight in the cabin, and it may also feature a physical volume knob with a host of other features. MG have confirmed that the new infotainment system will feature wireless functionality for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In terms of powertrains, the new Hector is likely to come with the same 1.5L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo diesel engine options as the current model. While the 1.5L turbo petrol may retain its manual, manual hybrid and CVT automatic options, we expect MG to finally offer the Hector with a diesel automatic option. Currently, the MG Hector only gets a 6-speed manual transmission with the 2.0L diesel engine. The MG Hector rivals other premium SUVs like the Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass.
