All Maruti Suzuki Models Now Comply With BS6 Phase-2 Emission Norms | V3Cars
All Maruti Suzuki hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and MPVs now comply with the BS6 phase-2 emission norms. All Maruti cars also comply with the E20 fuel and offer better safety features than before.
Maruti Suzuki Cars Now BS6 Phase-2 Compliant
All Maruti Suzuki vehicles, which include offerings from Maruti Suzuki Arena, Nexa and Maruti Suzuki Commercial, now comply with the BS6 phase-2 emission norms. The more stringent BS6 phase-2 emission norms came into effect from April 1, 2023 along with road driving emission (RDE) standards as well. Furthermore, all Maruti Suzuki vehicles now also support 20% ethanol blended petrol (E20) fuel.

Maruti Cars Now Get More Safety Features
Along with the BS6 update, Maruti Suzuki have also updated their cars with electronic stability control (ESC). Maruti Suzuki now offer ESC across their hatchback, sedan, SUV and MPV offerings. However, cars like the Eeco minivan and Alto K10 hatchback do not offer ESC in any of their variants as of now. We expect Maruti Suzuki to soon update the brochures of the respective models soon.
Commenting on the rollout of the updated Maruti Suzuki range, Mr. C V Raman, Chief Technical Officer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “At Maruti Suzuki, we are always finding new and innovative ways to reduce emissions from our vehicles. Be it with the Advanced Dual Jet, Dual VVT technology, Progressive Smart Hybrid or Intelligent Electric Hybrid system. The Government of India’s drive to incorporate the new BS6 Phase II norms will go a long way in controlling emissions from vehicles over their entire lifespan. During this upgrade, Maruti Suzuki also took the opportunity to delight customers even more by equipping our cars with ESC, a leading safety feature globally. With this, Maruti Suzuki cars and SUVs are now safer than ever before and better for the environment, as well.”
