Mahindra XUV300 Features Deleted

Mahindra XUV300 Features Deleted | V3Cars

Mahindra XUV300 was the most feature-loaded sub-compact SUV in the Indian market at launch. However, that changed rather quickly, not just because of the fierce competition but also because of some deletion of features. We list down the various features that the XUV300 lost over these years since its launch.

Mahindra XUV300

List Of Deleted Features In The XUV300:

  • Knee airbag
  • Heated ORVM
  • 17-inch alloy wheels
  • 3-point seatbelt for middle rear passenger
  • 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment (W6)
  • Rear armrest (W6)
  • Rear spoiler (W6)
  • Rear adjustable headrests (W6)
  • 60:40 split seats

The most recent feature that was deleted was the 17-inch alloy wheels. The 2022 XUV300 now comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. Other deleted features from the top-end variants include driver’s knee airbag, heated ORVMs, and a 3-point seatbelt for the middle passenger. The 2022 XUV300 now gets 6 airbags and a lap belt for the middle passenger. The XUV300 W6 loses some substantial features like the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, rear armrest, rear spoiler, adjustable rear headrests, and 60:40 split seats. The W6 variant now gets a Bluetooth-enabled 2-DIN monochrome music system. However, it still supports some features of the Mahindra Bluesense app.

The deletion of features would have made sense if Mahindra had decreased the prices accordingly. However, with every cut in features, Mahindra have hiked the prices of the XUV300 range. Currently, the XUV300 range starts from Rs. 8.16 lakh and goes up to Rs. 13.67 lakh ex-showroom. If we recall, Mahindra launched the XUV300 in 2019. The XUV300 range was priced from Rs. 7.9 lakh ex-showroom. At launch, Mahindra didn’t have diesel-AMT variants on offer. The diesel automatic option was announced later, ahead of the petrol automatic option.

Despite the substantial deletion of features, the XUV300 offers some notable features:

  • 7.0-inch infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Automatic headlights
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Electric sunroof
  • Telematics
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Steering response modes
  • Customisable colour for MID
  • Tyre direction indicator
  • 6 airbags
  • Rear disc brakes

The Mahindra XUV300 comes with two engine options – a 1,2L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. The petrol engine produces 120PS of power at 5000rpm and 200Nm of torque between 2000rpm and 3500rpm. The diesel engine produces 117PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2500rpm. Both engines are available with the option of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT. Mahindra could soon add gasoline direct injection to the petrol engine, which will increase the power output to 130PS.

The Mahindra XUV300 takes on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. The Mahindra XUV300 is priced from Rs. 8.16 lakh to Rs. 13.67 lakh ex-showroom.
