Mahindra Bolero Neo Teased Ahead Of Debut | V3Cars
Mahindra has officially teased the Bolero Neo ahead of its launch which is expected to happen in the coming few months. As reported earlier, the Bolero Neo is essentially an updated version of the TUV300 which was discontinued in April 2020 with the implementation of BS6 emission norms in the country.
Compared to the older TUV300, it gets mildly redesigned headlamps flanking the new 6-slate chrome grille with a honeycomb mesh. It also gets a chrome applique at the top flowing into the headlamps integrating with the LED DRLs. The front bumper is also redesigned with a large central air dam flanked by squarish fog lamps.
The teaser does not reveal much about the side and rear profile of the SUV but they are expected to remain largely unchanged save for a new set of alloy wheels and mildly redesigned tail lamps and rear bumper.
Similarly, on the inside, the cabin layout remains unchanged. From what is visible in the teaser video, it gets a dual-tone (beige-black) cabin with patterned fabric seats, an analogue instrument cluster with MID, manual day/night IRVM, a rear centre armrest and adjustable front and rear headrests.
Other features that are expected on the Bolero Neo include auto AC, all four power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, height-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, the Bolero Neo is expected to get the BS6 version of TUV300’s 1.5-litre diesel engine. It makes 100PS and 240Nm mated to a 5-speed MT. It might also get an option of a 5-speed AMT gearbox, like the TUV300.
Mahindra is expected to position the Bolero Neo above the standard Bolero as it will get a more powerful engine and better creature comforts. So, expect it to be priced from Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. It will compete with the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon and its sibling, the Mahindra XUV300.
