Kia India have launched a new Aurochs Edition of the Sonet B2-segment SUV. The Aurochs Edition offers a couple of cosmetic updates and is available with turbo petrol and diesel engine options. Read on to know more details about the Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition.

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition — What’s Changed

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition looks similar to the now-discontinued Sonet Anniversary Edition. The only major perceptible difference is the Aurochs badge on the front grille that replaces the 1st Anniversary Edition badge. Apart from that, the Sonet Aurochs Edition comes with orange inserts on the front grille as well as the front and rear bumper and orange piping on the side cladding.

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition Interior And Features

On the inside, the Aurochs Edition of the Sonet offers a dual-tone black and beige colour palette. Interior trims like the steering wheel, gear lever and seats get orange stitching. Since the Aurochs Edition is based on the HTX variant, it offers features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster and an electric sunroof.

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition Powertrain Details

The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition comes with 2 engine options with both manual and automatic transmission options. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine offers 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4000rpm. This engine can be had with either the 6-speed auto clutch manual transmission (ACMT) or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.5L turbo diesel engine produces 115PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2750rpm. The diesel engine comes with the option of a 6-speed ACMT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Kia India charge Rs. 40,000 extra for the Aurochs Edition over the HTX variant. For the extra premium, the Sonet Aurochs Edition offers unique exterior embellishments and a tweaked interior layout. The Sonet Aurochs Edition doesn’t offer any changes in terms of engines and features over the Sonet HTX.
