2023 Kia EV9 Exterior Design

The production version of the Kia EV9 looks very similar to the concept and if parked side by side, it’s hard to tell them apart. Like most electric cars, the Kia EV9 features an enclosed grille, which Kia like to call the ‘Digital Tiger Face’ grille. A brushed chrome strip connects the headlights and the LED DRLs are placed on the lower lip of the grille, forming the shape of Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille. The EV9’s LED headlights are placed vertically and boast several small LEDs, giving it a futuristic look.

Around the side, the EV9 gets accentuated wheel arches along with gloss black side cladding. The EV9 also gets flush-fitting door handles to improve aerodynamics. The tapered black roofline further enhances the EV9’s flowing design. At the rear, the EV9 gets vertically-stacked LED tail lights, which are similar to that of the concept SUV.

2023 Kia EV9 Interior And Features

On the inside, the 2023 EV9 boasts the best technology that Kia currently offer. The dashboard features twin connected screens — each measuring 12.3-inch in size. Offered in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, the 6-seater variants of the EV9 offers the option to swivel the 2nd-row seats by up to 180-degrees. Furthermore, both the 1st- and 2nd-row seats of the EV9 offer the option to recline the seats while the vehicle charging.

Kia EV9 India Launch Timeline And Expected Price

While Kia India have not announced the launch timeline for the EV9, various reports suggest the flagship electric SUV could go on sale on our shores in April 2024. We expect Kia to price the EV9 around Rs. 80.0 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Kia EV9 will rival luxury electric SUVs, such as the Mercedes-Benz EQC, Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback and Jaguar I-Pace. However, while the aforementioned cars only feature 2-row seating, the Kia EV9 will offer 3 rows of seats.
