2023 Hyundai Verna Segment Exclusive Features | V3Cars
Hyundai India have launched the Verna 2023 sedan with multiple segment exclusive and best-in-segment features. In this article, we share the list of segment exclusive features of the new Verna sedan.
Hyundai Verna 2023 Segment Exclusive Features
Take a look at the segment exclusive features of the Verna 2023 sedan:
1. Powered Driver’s Seat
The 2023 Hyundai Verna offers a 4-way electronically-adjustable driver’s seat. It offers electronic adjustability for fore and aft movement and backrest recline. However, the driver’s seat does not get electronic adjustability for the seat height. The Toyota Yaris was the first C-segment sedan to offer an electronically-adjustable driver’s seat, but that is no longer on sale in the market.

2. Heated Front Seats
The Verna 2023 sedan offers heated and ventilated front seats. It is worth mentioning that the Verna was the first C2-segment sedan to offer front ventilated seats and now it becomes the first to offer both heated and ventilated front seats. The new Verna’s arch rival — the Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus – also offer front ventilated seats.
3. Smart Trunk Release
The new Verna continues to offer a smart trunk release, which was offered with the outgoing model as well. The smart trunk release opens the latch via electromagnetics when it detects a person standing close to the tailgate. This feature comes in handy when your hands are full and need to load cargo into the boot.
4. Front Parking Sensors
While all sedans in the C2-segment offer reverse parking sensors and camera in their top variants, the Verna offers front parking sensors too. They aid in parking in tight spots and give you a better idea of the clearance up ahead.

5. Rear Collision Warning And Avoidance
The new Verna and the recently-updated Honda City are the only 2 C2-segment sedans to offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). However, the Verna also adds rear cross traffic alert and rear collision avoidance features. These features use a radar placed behind the rear bumper to detect and avoid colliding with a vehicle coming from behind.
6. Seatbelt Reminders
All new vehicles currently sold in the country offer seatbelt reminders for the front seats. However, the new Verna also offers seatbelt reminders for the rear passengers, including the 5th rear middle passenger seat. This move should influence more people to wear seatbelt in the 2nd row, especially when it is now mandatory for all passengers in a vehicle to wear seatbelts.
