Hyundai Venue CNG Launch Soon? – What To Expect | V3Cars
Hyundai India are gearing up to extend their CNG portfolio and the Venue CNG is likely to be the next CNG offering from the South Korean carmaker. While the Venue CNG has not been spied on our roads yet, it’s cousin from Kia, the Sonet CNG, was recently caught on test. Hence,, we can expect Hyundai to launch the Venue CNG right after the launch of the Kia Sonet CNG.
Recent spy shots of the Sonet CNG undergoing tests revealed GT Line and T-GDI badges on the car. The badges confirm that Kia Motors are considering the 1.0L turbo petrol enigne for the CNG option. In petrol variants, the Sonet’s 1.0L turbo petrol produces 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4000rpm. In the CNG model, however, the power and torque figures are likely to see a dip. Kia offers the Sonet’s 1.0L turbo petrol with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission, or IMT in Kia speak, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). We expect the auto-clutch manual transmission to be the default option for the 2022 Sonet CNG. The same powertrain is expected to make its way into the Venue CNG as well.

In terms of design, the Venue CNG will be based on the upcoming Venue facelift which is expected to get various visual and functional changes. Speaking of the visual changes, the 2022 Venue facelift will feature a redesigned cascading grille with bolder chrome elements, split LED taillights, new alloy wheels and tweaked bumpers. On the features front, the Venue facelift is likely to get a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front ventilated seats, drive and traction modes and better safety features as standard.

Hyundai India are likely to launch the Venue facelift in May 2022. Meanwhile, the Venue facelift is likely to be offered with the optional N Line trim right from launch this time around. The Venue CNG will likely launch later in 2022.
