Hyundai i20 Turbo iMT Variants No Longer On Sale | V3Cars

Hyundai recently removed the prices of the turbo iMT variants from their website. We can now confirm that the carmaker has discontinued the turbo iMT variants of the i20 hatchback. Hence, The i20 turbo petrol no longer offers a auto clutch manual transmission but continues to offer a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Hyundai i20 Turbo iMT Discontinued

Hyundai offered the turbo iMT powertrain option with the Sportz and Asta variants of the i20 hatchback. Since these variants have now been discontinued, interested buyers of the i20 turbo are left with the dual-clutch automatic transmission that comes in Sportz and Asta (O) variants. Hence, the prices of the i20 turbo now start from Rs. 10.11 lakh and go up to Rs. 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai i20 N Line Continues To Offer iMT Option

However, if you want the convenience of a clutchless driving experience without the hassles associated with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, then you can go for the i20 N Line. Hyundai continue to offer the i20 N Line iMT in both N6 and N8 variants. However, you will have to spend more on the i20 N Line over equally-equipped variants of the standard i20 turbo. The prices of the i20 N Line start from Rs. 10.16 lakh and go up to Rs. 12.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec i20 N Line turbo DCT N8 carries a premium of Rs. 44,000 over the i20 turbo DCT Asta (O).

For the added premium over the regular i20, the i20 N Line offers cosmetic updates like a chequered flag grille, N Line badging, a different design for the alloy wheels, N steering wheel, N gear shifter and all black interiors with red ambient lighting. Furthermore, the i20 N Line also offers 30% stiffer suspension, a quicker and more responsive steering system, rear disc brakes and a sporty twin tip exhaust.

Hyundai i20 Turbo Specifications

The 1.0L turbo petrol engine of the i20 produces 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4000rpm. While the i20 is now only available with the dual-clutch automatic transmission, the i20 N Line gets the iMT, or auto clutch manual transmission, as well.
